01 / 06 — FEEDSTOCK
Lignocellulosic residue
Terratan starts with what harvest leaves behind: sugarcane bagasse, wheat husk and paddy straw. Streams that are usually burned or left to rot become our raw material.
02 / 06 — STRUCTURE
Nature's own composite
Every plant fibre is already a composite: cellulose microfibrils carry the load, hemicellulose binds them, and lignin forms the surrounding matrix. That structure is what we build on.
03 / 06 — REFINING
Refined to a fine fibre
The residue is cleaned, dried and milled to a fine, consistent particle size, so every batch starts from the same base.
04 / 06 — COMPOUNDING
A fibre–binder network
The fibre is dispersed in our plant-based binder system, forming a cohesive network around the cellulose. The formulation is our own, refined across hundreds of trials.
05 / 06 — LAMINATION
Built in layers
The compound is cast onto a textile backing, cured, and sealed with a protective top coat, in thicknesses from 0.6 to 1.5 mm.
06 / 06 — PERFORMANCE
Finished & tested
Embossed to the grain you specify, then tested for tensile strength, flex and abrasion. USDA Certified Biobased, PETA-Approved Vegan, REACH and Prop 65 compliant.
